Designed and made in Australia from locally grown Tasmanian timbers are these green chandeliers by Australian designer, Loz Abberton from Who Did That.

Abberton’s Grandelier lights are intricately carved from Tasmanian Blackwood and Oak veneers and can be used as hanging pendant lights or floor and sideboard lamps.

Loz Abberton's Grandelier lights Available in a range of styles and sizes, Abberton’s Grandeliers also come flat-packed for easy transport and tool-free assembly.

Prices start from $290 and the Grandeliers are available online from the State of Green store.



Recycled designer lighting

Cork lamp design by Benjamin HubertRecycled wine stoppers are now an interior design icon with this hand-turned, cork lamp design by internationally acclaimed British designer, Benjamin Hubert.

Carved from Portuguese agglomerate cork, Hubert’s float pendant lights are super eco-friendly while also being fire resistant and biodegradable.

The designer float lights are available in Australia from Great Dane Furniture and retail from $495.


Ethical hand crafted imports

Nikki Lisle from the International School of Colour + Design (ISCD) in North Sydney has launched her own line of sustainable, contemporary lights under eco furnishings company, Sala Verde.

Nikki Lisle from Sala VerdeMeaning ‘Green Lounge’ in the native Filipino language of Tagalog, Sala Verde’s range of sustainable lighting is hand crafted by weavers and craftsmen from the lush tropical islands of the Philippines.

"Most of the products have a sustainable and ethical angle to them - which is very much my ethos when it comes to interior design,” Lisle told ISCD.

“I'm very much a believer in natural materials, organic dyes and all things handmade."

Pendant light and table lamps are on sale from $124 from the Sala Verde online store.
