Ethical hand crafted importsNikki Lisle from the International School of Colour + Design (ISCD) in North Sydney has launched her own line of sustainable, contemporary lights under eco furnishings company, Sala Verde.
Ethically produced from green materials for the conscious consumer, Sala Verde’s designs are one-of-a-kind imports that are now being seen in Australia for the very first time.
Meaning ‘Green Lounge’ in the native Filipino language of Tagalog, Sala Verde’s range of sustainable lighting is hand crafted by weavers and craftsmen from the lush tropical islands of the Philippines.
"Most of the products have a sustainable and ethical angle to them - which is very much my ethos when it comes to interior design,” Lisle told ISCD.
“I'm very much a believer in natural materials, organic dyes and all things handmade."
